The Owls Nest is a unique and charming one bedroom log cabin situated on next to stables and horse fields in beautiful rural Northumberland. (One bedroom with a double bed and a living room with two bunk beds and a single mattress available if required, suitable for an extra young child. Small supplement for additional bedding) Guests can wake up to horses in the arena next to the cabin and feed them carrots for breakfast or tea. Owls Nest is a simple but charming log cabin in Scandinavian style that offers a truly relaxed stay in peaceful and tranquil surroundings - a true escape to the country. Dogs are particularly welcome and there are beautiful wood walks close by. Dogs must be kept on a lead please at the Owls Nest and guests must notify us in advance of any pets they will bring with , charges apply. Doggy bowls and blankets all provided for your furry friends.
Kim & Allan have hosted holiday lets for over ten years and used to run an animal sanctuary from their land. We live in the farmhouse nearby and are available to help guests with any help they need but equally respect their wish for privacy. Dogs are very welcome to come and stay , charges apply ,and there are beautiful wood and beach walks close by to keep them happy on holiday too !
Ulgham is a lovely Northumbrian village with a name that means "where the owls meet". Close to the stunning Northumbrian coastline for lovely walks on beautiful beaches or a half hour drive to the busy city of Newcastle with its rich variety of shops,pubs,clubs and lively nightlife. Or head north up to Alnwick or the Northumbrian coast - Seahouses and boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see puffins and seals in their natural habitats. Whatever is of interest to visitors to the region, there is something to please all tastes and so accessible and within a short drive to so many attractions, rural villages, market towns and city life.
