Poplars Farm is situated on the edge of the Peak District in the picturesque Derbyshre Dales. Nestled close to the market town of Ashbourne, it is the perfect base from which to explore the charming green surrounds of Derbyshire. The site offers you the pleasant choice between the quiet solitude of beautiful countryside with its tumbling streams, natural landscapes and views or the many idyllic small villages and historic towns that make up this pleasantly rural area. With the popular walking, cycling, fishing and water sports location of Carsington Water only 2 miles away, it makes Poplars Farm the ideal place to take a break. The three glamping pods, Willow, Ash and Hazel are fully insulated, heated and have uninterrupted views over the Derbyshire Dales. Each pod accommodates 2 adults in provided double or twin beds (Willow and Ash) and a double bed in Hazel. You need to bring your own bed linen unless booked from us. In each pod is a TV, refrigerator, kettle, crockery and barbecue tools are provided. Outside each pod is a barbecue~fire pit and in the nearby facilities block is a private shower room with WC and wash basin for each pod. The dog friendly pods, Ash and Hazel have an enclosed fenced in area to the front of the pod to allow your dogs some off lead time. There is also ten acres on site to walk and exercise your dog.

We enjoy running a small, quiet campsite and work hard to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Many people do return as there is a sense of peace and calm, watching the sunset or sitting round the fire pit.

Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, dining and drinking al fresco or in local pubs, there’s plenty of choice. For water sport enthusiasts, Carsington Water is a short drive away and there are many historic buildings also. Ashbourne, Belper, Matlock and Bakewell are all worth a visis and bus stops are right outside the site so travelling car free is perfectly possible.
