The perfect spot to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. Set in the beautiful countryside on the edge of the River Severn, you will be surrounded by miles of fields, footpaths and of course the river. Enjoy long country walks, take in the wildlife and soak up the amazing scenery as there are plenty of footpaths nearby. Or if you wish to get more active, bring your bikes or there is local bike hire available nearby. There are also fishing lakes nearby. Our site is nestled on the “world famous” Severn bore. The Severn Bore is one of Britain's few truly spectacular natural phenomena. It is a large surge wave that can be seen in the estuary of the River Severn, where the tidal range is the 2nd highest in the world, being as much as 50 feet (approx. 15.4m). We are totally off grid, so relax, sit back and enjoy a back to basics experience. We have 6 bell tents each of which includes 1 double bed as standard and 2 additional single beds/futons can be added, if extra guests are booked. Outside there is a seating area so you can enjoy those summer evenings. We have 3 dog friendly tents, subject to availability. Being located in Gloucestershire on the edge of the Forest of Dean, we are in prime location for many amazing local tourist attractions. The Cotswolds, Forest of Dean and Bristol are all easily accessible and well worth a visit. Whether you like shopping, country walks, fishing, cider tasting, shooting, there is something for everyone. Why not visit Gloucester Cathedral and see where parts of Harry Potter was filmed!
