As you head through the living room into the kitchen you will discover a dining area, the traditional wooden table and forms easily seats four people. An ideal sized kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs- with a gas hob, fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and integrated washer dryer, you will have everything you need to cook as little or as much as you desire. Within the kitchen is a great seating area with a sofa, Smart TV and patio doors looking out onto the rear garden- a great spot to sit at while the food is cooking or to simply admire the beautiful walled garden. As you head up the stairs from the lounge you will discover two bedrooms- the first bedroom with an elegant double bed, triple wardrobe, dressing table and Smart TV. The master bedroom comprises of a double bed, Smart TV and double wardrobe. Heading up the stairs from the master bedroom, you will find a dressing table set amongst beautiful original beams. This diverse area is also home to a games room and reading nook. The modern bathroom benefits from a bath with an overhead shower, a vanity unit with a Bluetooth LED mirror and luxury toiletries. Our quaint stone cottage is nestled in the historic village of Lanchester overlooking the Lanchester Railway Path . Lanchester is an ideal place to stay to visit the North of England in fact the Lake District is only 1.5 hours away and the North East coast is less than an hour. Visitors will want to see Durham (8 miles) and its magnificent cathedral, castle, historic university buildings, museums, and relaxing river walks. Explore Beamish, the Living Museum of the North for a full day of adventure and children of all ages might like Diggerland and Potters Tropical Village at the popular, local garden centre. Head to Newcastle (15 miles) for shopping, art and culture, and a boat trip on the River Tyne calling at the Metro Centre, one of Europe’s biggest indoor shopping centres (13 miles.) Drive to Hexham Abbey, the Roman forts in Hadrian’s Wall Country, venture into the North Pennines or visit the market town of Barnard Castle.
