Our handcrafted shepherd's hut is tucked away in a private corner of our field amongst wild flowers, fruit trees and nature. It has a fold-down king-sized bed with a curved skylight above (perfect for stargazing), log burner, well-equipped kitchenette and a separate bathroom with a powerful hot shower, basin and compost loo. Everything is bespoke and handmade so it is completely unique.
Tim is a builder by trade and built the hut from scratch during lockdown. Tim likes to travel and currently we are renovating an overland truck so that we can go travelling as a family. Rachel manages the hut and takes care of the bookings / changeovers. She is full time mum to their two children, Lylah and Leo.
Chagford is a beautiful market town in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park with numerous pubs, cafes and local shops. The hut is a short walk into town and outdoor pool and is perfectly situated for exploring the moor.
