Angus and Willa Wilson have been running the estate holiday cottages for over 30 years. Willa was born in Lochgilphead and has lived in Argyll all her life. The team working on the farm and ourselves will be at hand to help you if needed during your stay.

The School Room is a spacious and private retreat, tucked away behind The School House and set on the edge of the village, just a short walk from the shores of Loch Awe. Designed as a stylish and elegant escape for two, this unique property combines comfort, character, and a real sense of occasion. The open-plan mezzanine bedroom overlooks the sitting room below and features a beautiful hand made oak four-poster super-king bed with a luxury mattress, creating a light-filled and elegant space. The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare meals with ease, including a dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine. The bathroom is generously sized, offering a large, deep bath alongside a spacious walk-in shower—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Below the bedroom, the cosy sitting room is the heart of the property, complete with a welcoming log burner, dining area, and a comfortable sofa and armchair. Entertainment includes Freesat TV, Wi-Fi, DVD player, and a Sonos music system, making it ideal for relaxed evenings in. A large front porch leads into the kitchen and provides ample space for coats and outdoor gear. To the rear of the property, a smaller porch opens from the sitting room into the garden—once the old school playground. Many original features have been thoughtfully preserved, including the original floor, still marked with the historic badminton court lines, adding charm and a unique sense of history to this special place. Outside, the property is accessed via a large private driveway, with outbuildings available for storing bikes, roof boxes, and other outdoor equipment. Guests also have use of a well-stocked log shed. The private garden is laid mainly to lawn and features outdoor seating and a barbecue—an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Sea Kayaking in Oban - Inveraray Castle and Jail Day trips to the ferry ports to visit the Islands. Ports of Oban, Kennacraig and Tayinloan are all under an hours drive. The three Islands tour I can recommend taking in the Island of Staffa. Walks at Knapdale Forest where beavers have been released. Pony Trekking at Lunga Riding Stables. Argyll Adventure. Riding/laser tag/cross bow range. Carnasserie Castle - Great for sardines and only 15 mins away. Easdale Island and swim in the old slate mine pools. Kerrera Island. Short 10 min trip over by ferry. Great circular path round the Island and a good tea room at the end. Great gardens to look round at Arduaine, Crarae and Duntrune Gardens. Walk to the points of Craignish Point which is past Ardfern or Keills Point PA318PQ which is past Tayvallich and have a look at the chapel full of ancient historic head stones. Both stunning walks by the sea and have wonderful views out to the Islands. Skipness Castle and the Seafood Hut and finish with a good walk down the beach.
