Set in an idyllic rural setting this property perfect for those wishing to explore the west coast of Scotland. The hosts were very friendly, and very informative about the local areas. The breakfast basket spoilt us for choice and ensured that we were well fueled for our busy days of exploring. The design and layout of the unit is fantastic, with extremely comfortable beds and great bathroom facilities. While the "hobbit door" took a little getting used to, it is fun and quirky and added to the wonderful vibe. Would highly recommended staying here. Put in the postcode into your GPS/Navman and you will have no problem finding the place.

It’s well located less than a minute from the main street and loch. The room was an excellent size, breakfast and off road parking were great. Jim & Ele made us fresh coffee for our flasks.

Unfortunately we were only there one night, but the town appears to have good facilities and resources for a longer stay. We were driving our own car and in the area to tour the Kilmartin valley. Lochgilphead would have been a much better choice for both nights than the switch we actually made.

The town is a great start for exploring the area. The high street has seen better days but some lovely buildings with a great view down the loch. With the Crinan canal a couple of minutes away, watching the boats transit is fascinating.

I've been to Lochgilphead a few times now and it's been on a decline since the first time we visited. It's a beautiful place but the amenities leave a lot to be desired. There's only one pub open now as to the four on our first visit. Limited places to eat and the place seems to close down after 5pm.

Terrific little town, quieter than nearby popular places. Lovely waterfront lawns & seating. Fabulous gift shop & book shop & very busy but delicious fish & chips. Crinan canal on edge of town for walks. A delightful gem, worth a stop.

Superb property, perfect location for exploring Lochgilphead and the Crinan Canal; spotlessly clean bungalow with all amenities needed for a perfect stay; very comfortable beds and sofas; lovely welcoming treats of cake, milk, choccies as well as doggie treats which were very much appreciated. Lovely garden with table and chairs enabled us to enjoy some of the evening sunshine. Dog friendly and wheelchair accessibility if needed. Very peaceful location towards the end of a 'no-through' road.

I was on a road trip down memory lane to some old haunts on the West Coast of Scotland and Lochgilphead provided an excellent place to visit both Ardrishaig and Crinan. Jim and Ele were the best of hosts making me feel welcome and at home and so good to see them taking care of this wonderful building, which is a bit of history in it's own right. The breakfast set me up for a good day.
