The Booking House has been accommodating people since 2016 with many guests returning year after year. We manage select properties which are unique, pet friendly and which have lots of character and out door space for beloved pets and children. We charge guests a pre-payment Booking Deposit of 50% of the total booking fee at the time of booking with the balance of payment due 42 (6 weeks) prior to arrival. If the bookings falls within 42 days then the full amount is requested at the time of booking. This Booking Deposit payment is non-refundable should the booking be cancelled before the 42 day period. Exceptional circumstances for cancellation do apply. We also request a damage deposit payable before arrival.

This superb detached coastal 5 bedroom home with a New England style interior, is situated on the outskirts of Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. Ideal for families, groups, crew and business travellers. Discounted prices apply for fewer people so Solenta also accommodates smaller groups, couples and individual travellers. All bedrooms have wardrobes, luggage racks, chest of drawers and bedside tables with lamps. Solenta has a spacious kitchen/diner, two bathrooms (one on each floor) plus an additional downstairs toilet in the laundry room, a glass roofed conservatory with seating, an enclosed south facing garden with a patio terrace with outdoor furniture and private parking for up to 4 cars. The living room, called the ‘Bridge Room’ is upstairs and has a 180 degree panoramic sea view of the Solent with comfortable seating, fisherman style dimmable lights, a 32 inch Smart TV with Netflix, an iPod dock with surround sound, binoculars and a mango chest full of games and puzzles. The house is set up for a comfortable stay including a fully equipped kitchen with a wall mounted Smart TV, a range cooker with 3 ovens, a microwave, an integrated full size dishwasher, an American style fridge / freezer, a laundry room with washing machine, airer and ironing facilities, an outside BBQ, washing line, bike locking area, inside and outside dining areas for 10, a large sail like parasol, large golfing umbrellas, soft fluffy towels and Egyptian cotton bed linen. Fast wi-fi throughout. There are hand painted signs throughout the house with a nautical theme to indicate each room.

Yarmouth is an historic port town containing some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight, including a 16th Century castle. It sits at the mouth of the River Yar and is a magical place to explore from the ideal location of Solenta. It has many unique restaurants, pubs, cafés, ice cream parlours, boutique shops, a deli, a chandler, a newsagent and an art gallery. Harvey's of Yarmouth stocks local bread, eggs, honey, meat, and milk, fresh fruits and vegetables, beers wines and spirits, artisan goods, charcuterie and cheeses, and a range of treats and nibbles. You can also find Mermaid Gin here which is hand-crafted on the island and in a beautiful distinctive bottle. Harwoods of Yarmouth is West Wight’s largest yacht chandler which was established in 1893 and it’s entrance step made of stone is original; which is now U shaped as it is so worn! Holdings of Yarmouth is an established newsagents selling a vast and exciting range of cards, kids games, puzzles and activities, toys and stationary as well as unique souvenirs and bric-à-brac.
