Property info
South Lodge is a charming single-storey self-catering holiday cottage, privately situated and tucked into the edge of the woodland. Set in an elevated position, the cottage enjoys lovely views across to the main estate house, the loch, and the hills beyond.
Accessed via three steps, you enter through the porch into the cottage. On the right is the spacious bedroom with a super-king handmade oak four poster bed. The bedroom is beautifully furnished with fitted cupboards, a chest of drawers, and a dressing table. Two windows overlook the surrounding woods and lawns, creating a peaceful and restful atmosphere.
The sitting room is a cosy space to unwind, featuring a log burner, comfortable sofa and armchair, flat-screen TV/DVD, and docking station. Dual windows frame delightful views across the estate.
The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you need for a relaxed self-catering stay, including a fridge freezer, washing machine, electric cooker, hob and microwave.
The bathroom includes a large walk-in Aqualisa shower with excellent water pressure, along with a basin and WC.
Outside, South Lodge has its own private garden, mainly laid to lawn and furnished with garden seating and a mobile barbecue—perfect for summer evenings. If you’re quiet, you may be lucky enough to spot red squirrels visiting the bird table.
An open shed offers ideal storage for bikes or a roof box, and there is ample off-road parking. A large log shed is also provided, logs included free of charge.
South Lodge is available for short stays, with a minimum stay of three nights. During July and August we aim to offer weekly lets from Saturday to Saturday, though please do enquire—late availability may allow for more flexibility. Arrival is from 5pm, giving us time to ensure the cottage is fully prepared for your stay.
South Lodge has everything you need for a relaxing getaway and truly offers a home from home experience.
