From Lyme Regis, through Charmouth to Bridport and West Bay and the beautiful surrounding towns and villages, whether you desire a beach day or maybe a walk with the family or dog to Golden Cap, the highest point on the South Coast the area offers a variety of options for your ideal stay in Devon or Dorset.

One of very few privately owned properties located on National Trust land, St Gabriels Cottage is nestled in the heart of stunning Dorset countryside with Golden Cap as its backdrop and the sea beyond. Please note: Through a woodland area to the cottage there are some steps and it's uneven in places. The property is accessed via partly unmade, private roads which may not be suitable for some vehicles. To retain the original feel of peace and tranquility at the cottage the owners do not supply a TV or WiFi. The cottage is suitable for no more than 4 adults. A maximum of two dogs are accepted. Dogs are charged at 20 pounds each per week (or part week). Parking for two cars - unloading can be done from the access lane and through the garden and the parking space is a short walk from the cottage. Not supplied, please bring: travel cot, highchair.

The Dorset village of Chideock is located on the main A35 between Bridport and Lyme Regis. The World Heritage Jurassic Coastline and Seatown, with its excellent pub The Anchor Inn, are less than a mile away and there are plenty of walks to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, both to the coastline, along the coastal path to Golden Cap, and inland amongst the thatched cottages and farmland that surround the village. Chideock also has a couple of pubs, the George Inn & The Clock Inn, as well as two small shops including a farm shop.
