Welcome to the St Mary's Bed and Breakfast. Description: On the first floor of our Tudor/Georgian home, we offer two double rooms for overnight stay with a generous continental / buffet breakfast. 'Hervey' is a magnificent beamed room with a high ceiling and four poster bed, whilst 'Hasted' is a light and airy double room. Both have en-suite bathrooms with shower, sink and toilet. The minimum stay is for two nights. James and Barbara also own the Coach House - a holiday let sleeping 5 - at the bottom of their garden. If you are unable to book your desired dates, please feel free to contact us as some days the property is only listed as closed because we are out that evening and unable to receive new guests.
James and Barbara had always planned to run a bed and breakfast when their four children had grown up and left home and five years ago the opportunity came to buy back the house that James had lived in as a little boy in historic Bury St Edmunds. It seemed like fate.
St Mary's B&B is situated close to St Mary's Church, the cathedral and ancient abbey ruins and within easy walking distance of the Theatre Royal, Greene King brewery and museum and all the amenities of the town centre.
