Swifts Barn is a family run cottage on the grounds of our own home. It is adjacent to our other holiday cotttage, Swallows Nest. We have dogs of our own and consider the property as the ideal holiday base for dog owning groups or families.

Swifts Barn is a delightful 3 bedroom converted barn sleeping 6 people, it has an open plan ground floor with lounge, dining room and kitchen. Upstairs are, 1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk bedrooms. Outside is a enclosed garden, patio area and off road parking. We are dog friendly and guests have access to our large field for on lead dog walking. Guests also have access to a shared climbing frame and games room with darts, table football and pool table (pay-per-play). Guests needing more bedrooms should look at our adjoining cottage Swallows Nest. Both cottages can be booked together and the gate joining the gardens can be opened. We are in the beautiful North Devon countryside just 10 miles from the sandy beaches at Bude - guests can borrow windbreaks and beach toys from us. We welcome up to 3 dogs free of charge - additional dogs may be permitted subject to prior approval and a charge may be added. We have chickens and bees on the property (at least 100m from the cottages), so guests are able to buy eggs and honey from us. We can offer talks on chicken and beekeeping - weather and time permitting. Although close to town we are in the country, on the main road to Bideford. This offers easy access to attractions both locally and further afield. Private transport is a must as there are no pavements for safe walking into town. We welcome people travelling for work - we have off-road parking suitable for 2 Transit Vans

Holsworthy is a market town in North Devon, offering all the facilities you may need: shops, pubs etc. Nearby is the resort of Bude with its beautiful beaches or the Tamar lakes where you can take part in water sports or just walk or cycle. There are numerous family friendly attractions nearby. Private transport is advised although there are public bus links in Holsworthy.
