The monument to the decisive Battle of Glen Fruin in 1603 is close by. Inside, the character continues through the four inviting living spaces: the elegant Drawing Room with a huge open fireplace, ancient stone walls and timbered ceilings, the cozy Piano Room, the large Sitting Room with wood-burning stove and TV; and the bright, airy Conservatory perfect for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea, overlooking the gardens with peacocks, barn owls and pheasants, and an enclosed courtyard where ducks and hens roam freely.
