The cottages overlook Talkin Tarn and have lovely views over farmland, there is a log burner , large TV with Amazon Stick. Both double bed rooms have tv. Large Shower with basin and wc.on ground floor. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby, Hadrian's Wall is only 15 mins away, The Lakes ,45mins to Ullswater,1hr to Keswick.Carlisle 25mins,local pub 1mile. Fresh farm eggs available at Tarnside. We have brood mares now, one yearling and 3 in foal for 2027 !! Star gazing at Twice Brewed Observatory,well worth the trip from Tarnside 20 mins drive. We now have the new available secure dog run next to the cottages for visitors to let their dogs off , high fence and secure gate. Bird life is amazing ,get an app on your mobile for your stay and listen to numerous birds. Great farmer's market in Brampton on certain Saturdays. Walk to the Tarn from Tarnside ,20mins. Local pub one mile,easy to walk to on quiet road.Very good WiFi signal.

Maurice rode the winner of the 1979 Grand National. We enjoy meeting our guests .We have one little dog of our own , a Patterdale terrier called Jasper,he is 15yrs old and a sweet little dog, we do welcome dogs and the new dog run has been given top marks by the dog owners who have stayed recently. Anne will help with anything you need,for example if you need any basic shopping in before you arrive it can be arranged.Wine, biscuits, and fresh eggs for all guests.

There is a country park nearby ,Talkin Tarn, guests can walk there from the cottages.Brampton town is only two miles away and has a good selection of interesting shops and eateries. It has a very good Antique Centre. The views around the cottages are panoramic and we are lucky to see some gorgeous sunsets. Train station a mile away if you fancy a trip to Carlisle or Newcastle. Lots of local walks around the area.Fishing on the Tarn,Brampton Golf Course only 1mile away.Air fryer available.
