The Annexe is an entirely self-contained unit attached to our house, Fishercroft. A connecting door will be locked to ensure guest privacy. The Annexe comprises an entrance vestibule with coat hooks, a bedroom/living room with microwave, kettle, mini-fridge, toaster, TV, breakfast table and an ensuite bathroom with shower, w/c and two wash hand basins. The room is hung with paintings and ceramics produced by Lynsey, and is centrally heated- a fan heater is also provided.We stock the fridge with milk, water. juice, cheese, and butter, and also provide tea, coffee (caffeinated and decaf), cereals, porridge, crackers, biscuits and other littlec treats. We have been listed on AirBnB for two years and have pretty much always received 5 star reviews and extremely positive comments.
We are retired teachers of English, and Art, who moved to Kirkcudbright (Lynsey's home town) from Glasgow in 2020. I enjoy playing and singing in a couple of bands, writing poetry, cycling and watching football, while Lynsey is an accomplished painter, ceramicist and horse lover. We have extensive knowledge of the town and can provide recommendations for things to do and see, as well as advice on where to eat. Past guests have commented very positively on our friendliness and determination that guests have a good experience. We look forward to welcoming you to The Annexe.
The Annexe is 10 mins walk along the river from the Harbour Square in the centre of town, and all shops, bars and restaurants. Kirkcudbright, known as the Artists Town, is a popular holiday resort, and has several galleries and various festivals throughout the year, as well as various eating out options ( we provide a list of these). The various bars, restaurants and other facilities are all with 10/15 mins walk along the river path.
