The Cherries is a quirky self-catering cottage in a picturesque village at the foot of The Yorkshire Wolds. The cottage is close to historic York, with easy access from the nearby Park and Ride. There is a spacious enclosed garden (down some steps), perfect for dogs and children. Sleeps 5 comfortably in 3 bedrooms. In the attic there is a childrens' games room with table football, small pool table and board games. Throughout the property you can find unusual furnishings, up-cycling and original art work. There is an open fire in the living room and a log burner in the dining room. Large, airy conservatory with plenty of seating. There is a shared driveway leading to a private parking spot .No charge for dogs (maximum 3).

We have been running The Cherries as a holiday cottage for seven years and we have really enjoyed welcoming guests to the property. Our aim is to provide a home-from-home experience and customer satisfaction is very important to us. We have stayed in many self-catering cottages in the UK and abroad and this has allowed us to have a really clear idea of what is needed in the cottage. We live in the adjacent property so are on hand to help with any problems or queries but fully respect our guests' privacy.

There is a lovely pub nearby in Low Catton, a short walk from the cottage. The property is close to Stamford Bridge which has a good selection of shops and amenities. Fraisthorpe is a lovely dog-friendly beach about 45 minutes away.
