Crown House & Lodges is a small, family run bed and breakfast offering a relaxed and welcoming place to stay in West Cornwall. Our aim is to give guests the freedom of their own space while still enjoying the comfort and hospitality of a traditional B&B. The market town of Helston and the attractive harbour town of Porthleven are just a short drive away, and we are within easy reach of some of West Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches including Praa Sands, Hayle, The Lizard and Marazion. From our central location it is easy to explore the Great Gardens of Cornwall, discover Cornwall’s rich mining heritage, visit St Michael’s Mount or spend time in some of the area’s historic towns and fishing harbours. We welcome well behaved dogs, provided they are not left unattended. Please check availability in advance as spaces are limited.

Crown House & Lodges Bed & Breakfast offers the independence of having your own space, with the key to your own front door, in our purpose built lodge (bungalow style) building within the garden. We have four rooms, each with its own private entrance and just one step from the garden into the room, allowing you to come and go as you please and enjoy the privacy of your own entrance. The rooms are spacious and light, and breakfast is served in our dedicated breakfast room in Crown House, which is just a short distance from the lodges. There is also easy parking for guests close to the rooms. In addition, guests also have full use of our shared guest facilities in Crown House, including a kitchen and lounge area. There is always a selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate available, along with fresh milk in the fridge. We will set you up for the day with a delicious breakfast, after which you can choose to sample local restaurants, pick up a takeaway, have food delivered, or stop at a farm shop or supermarket and prepare your own lunch or evening meal. Our four en-suite lodge rooms are named after local tin mines and offer a range of layouts to suit different stays: Bramble – a king size bed and one single bed Daggye – a king size bed and one single bed Vor – a king size bed Harriet – a king size bed in the main room, with a small adjoining room containing two single beds - this room is particularly suited to families (two adults and two children). While it can accommodate four guests, the layout is more comfortable for a family stay rather than four adults sharing.

Crowntown is a semi rural hamlet rather than a town, despite its name, which comes from its position on the crown of a hill. We are located on the B3303 in a rural setting about 3 miles from Helston, 4 miles from the harbour town of Porthleven on the south coast, and around 8 miles from Hayle on the north coast. The university town of Falmouth is about 16 miles away. From here it is easy to explore many of the best known places in West Cornwall including St Ives, St Michael’s Mount near Marazion, Penzance, Land’s End, the Lizard Peninsula, Falmouth and Newquay. The Eden Project is also within easy driving distance. There are no shops, pubs or restaurants within the hamlet itself, so a car is essential. Many of our guests appreciate the quieter setting away from the coastal bustle and the easy parking, while still being centrally located to explore West Cornwall.
