the bungalow is a wonderful base to explore all Wirksworth, Derbyshire Dales and the Peak District has to offer. The Bungalow has all you need to have a wonderful break, so enjoy the Escape!

We moved to Wirksworth in December 2025 and are enjoying the many things the local area has to offer. We enjoy exploring all the local towns and our Dog loves the local walks.

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac 5 minuets walk from the center of Wirksworth, with its thriving independent high street, its great range of cafes, pubs and places to eat as well as a range of local craft shops & artisan markets held on the first Saturday of every month that reflects the town's quirks and eccentricities, you can see why it's often called the Hidden Gem of the Peak.
