The POD Village is managed by the team at Ghyll Head Outdoor Education Centre who have been hosting schools and youth groups from Manchester for over 40 years!

Property info

Enjoy a break away in one of our 9 heated pods nestled in a quiet woodland here at Ghyll Head. We are located a short drive from Bowness-On-Windermere on the shores of Lake Windermere in the stunning Lake District National Park. There are footpaths leading from the site where you can easily walk to a viewpoint overlooking the lake and mountains beyond. We also have a huge choice of mountain-biking routes from the door step or nearby. A stream runs through the site and our private paths lead to and from the facilities block and up to our outdoor fire pit area. There is a sloping lawn to play on and a multi purpose games room to entertain the kids or for somewhere to sit when it's raining. Please note, we do NOT provide bed linen so you will need to bring your own bedding and pillows. We can accept well behaved pets when booked in advance. Our guests love the small shared kitchen in the facilities block which has a fridge / freezer, sink, microwave and kettle. There are 2 sides to our shared shower / toilet block. There is a shared under-cover outdoor cooking / eating and washing up area. Guests love the quiet atmosphere, it's location, cleanliness and the friendly staff on-site.
