'The Litton' is a new exciting venture which opened in March 2017 after an extensive refurburbishment. At the foot of the Mendip hills, the original 'Kings Arms' was originally built in the 1420's, it started life as a food mill, becoming the focal point of the village of Litton as a meeting point for locals, farmers and producers. Open stone fireplaces and original flagstone floors are retained within the design, together with exposing and renovating the original oak beams throughout the oldest part of the building, allowing the building to live again. Landscaped gardens create an all year round ambient outdoor space with the sound of the River Chew in the background. A sunken courtyard and the riverside terrace are the perfect place to relax and dine al fresco around the fire pits. The main bar serves drinks and hot refreshments all day, and the cosy Whiskey bar is the perfect place to unwind and read a complimentary newspaper. The boutique ensuite bedrooms, some with roll top bath are all individually designed to the same high standard, Food is served all day every day offering Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon tea and Dinner.

Located in AONB Mendip Hills, The Litton is the perfect location to visit nearby attractions in Bath, Bristol, Wells, Longleat, Glastonbury and Frome. Local events include The Bath and West Show, Glastonbury Festival and Wells Farmers Market.
