“Such a lovely place to stay, clean and tidy throughout. Michelle and Craig were very welcoming, clear instructions and a welcome hamper with essentials was a nice touch. We walked the dogs to Battlesbridge and enjoyed the warmer weather and views....”

Welcome to The Old Greengrocers, a peaceful hideaway nestled in the beautiful Essex village of Battlesbridge. It is a cosy, two storey, self contained accommodation, comprising of an open plan kitchen diner with a fridge, air fryer, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities, lounge, shower room and separate toilet room. Upstairs is the master bedroom with views over the surrounding area. There is also a secluded outdoor patio area. A welcome hamper is provided with every booking. We do allow a maximum of 2 dogs at the property.
I am a keen vegetable grower so during the summer months I’m on our land tending to our vegetable plot.
Our accommodation is based in the beautiful village of Battlesbridge, surround by farmland. A short walk to the antiques centre in the village which plays host to many events throughout the year and 3 wonderful pubs serving food and drink.
