Having hosted foreign students, friends and family for the past 25 years, we enjoy meeting new people and getting to know our guests on a personal level.

Property info

The Old Post House has been welcoming guests from all over the world for over twenty years. The house was built in 1912 originally for the Post master with his brother, the bank manager, living in its 'twin' next door. This characterful house in the central position in town makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. Since 2021 we have been welcoming dogs to some of our rooms, please check with us that your booking is for a dog friendly room if you are planning to bring your pet with you. If you would like breakfast during your stay, could we please ask you to book this prior to your stay with us.

Neighborhood info

Here the landscape and scenery is outstanding. Walking up on the moors is incredible and a great place for cycling, biking and walking adventures. The slower pace of life gives the opportunity to relax and unwind, recharging the batteries. We would advise booking ahead if you are planning to eat out in Moretonhampstead during your stay. There are several restaurants in the town, but they do tend to get busy, especially in peak season.
