It was great to meet Sheila and Jimmy and they made us very welcome. The Old Wagon House is a lovely conversion, set amongst the working farm, but we were not disturbed by any of the farm activities. The property is well equipped.

Jimmy and Sheila were very welcoming and the property was clean and well presented. Lovely farm location but still centrally located for days out. We'll definitely be back again....

The Old Wagon house is on our family farm which we have farmed since 1703 it is a cosy barn great for couples with lace covered 4 poster bed, log burner and exposed beams, any time of year is special in the Old Wagon House, The old wagon house was a barn conversion, and is a great little barn. just one mile off the A395
Hi, my name is Sheila I have been running the self catering holiday business since 2001 and we have many guest return year after year, in 2014 our daughter Pippa married Matt from New Zealand, and they took over running the farm of Trefranck, we retired and now myself and my husband Jimmy run the holiday business, we have the old wagon house that sleeps 2 the stable that sleeps 2 and forget me not cottage that sleeps 2-6, so it keeps us busy, Pip and Matt run the farm and farm sheep and deer, our son in law Matt Smith on 26th July 2016 broke the World Nine hour full wool sheep shearing record and is now the World Record holder, you may have seen him on the TV or in the papers or face book, our elder daughter Gemma runs Rose Hip barn just across the road from the Old Wagon House, she is a dance and yoga teacher, we love meeting your guest and telling them about the history of the farm and every thing around here, the farm has been in our family since 1703 and we are so please to have 6 dear grandchildren, who look like they will be keen to take the farm forward then they get older. I have a pond meadow which guest can walk down across and at the bottom is a lovely secluded wild life area with a pond and walks in through the trees and picnic table. we are just inland from the North coast so not far to go to get to the beaches. and a vest selection of places to eat.
The Old Wagon house is on our family farm which we have farmed since 1703. the Old Wagon House, just one mile off the A395 it is easy access and a great location to visit all parts of Cornwall, easy drive to the North Cornish Coast, Bude, Boscastle, or Bodmin Moor, see where Poldark has been filmed and visit some of the locations. Doc Martin was filmed around here and he was married in Alternun Church, walking is great around here so many place along the coast or on the moor, or walk inland across the fields to Alternun and have a meal at the Rising Sun Pub, or just down the road from the Old Wagon House is the Largest Holy Well in Cornwall, St. Clether Holy Well a lovely walk along the valley Inney. so quite and a great way to spend the after noon to re charge the mine and batteries. We have lots of National Trust Properties around this North Cornwall area to visit and some great pups and eating places.
