A retreat for six just outside the picturesque village of Westbourne

Westbourne is a charming village standing on the River Ems set between Emsworth and the beautiful countryside of The Downs. Although fairly small in size Westbourne boasts 66 listed buildings dating back to the 16th Century and an old medieval Church of St John the Baptist. The church is well worth a look around with its fine yew avenue which has even been said to be the oldest in England. A car is recommended, although you can easily walk into the village to get to the shops, pubs, and various restaurants, including a superb fish and chip takeaway. By road you are perfectly located to get to the nearby historic city of Chichester, famous for its grand cathedral and famous Chichester Festival Theatre. Goodwood is a short trip away with easy access along the country lanes, perfect to skip the traffic on your way to events such as The Goodwood Revival. To the west of Lazy Meadow lies the city of Portsmouth which offers wonderful attractions including the Historic Naval Dockyards and the impressive Spinnaker Tower, you can even hop on the catamaran or ferry to the Isle of White.
