There is a super-king-size bedroom and a bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Outside there is a rear enclosed garden with furniture and off-road parking for one car with EV charging port. Within 6.4 miles, you will find a shop and within 0.8 miles, a pub, and please note that this is a pet-free and smoke-free property. Fuel, power, bed linen, towels and WiFi included in rent. Blackdown Cottage Escapes at Lower Lye is an historic Grade 2* listed medieval hall house, this property is based on the farmstead on the grounds. The holiday cottages & curtilage are therefore listed by association. The site, because of its age & heritage has many uneven, non-level surfaces. Much of the outside amenity space & paths are cobbled. There is also open water & several streams. Whilst these features add to the character & charm here & we do not wish to exclude children or those less stable on their feet, it might well be that we are not best suited to their requirements.

Chard is a delightful market town and parish resting between the Blackdown Hills AONB and the town of Crewkerne. The town is known for offering access to the fantastic Forde Abbey & Gardens and hosting the Chard & District Museum/Heritage Centre, as well as being close to the delights of Chard Reservoir and Fern Animal Sanctuary. Dining options include the Bath House Hotel & Restaurant, where you can enjoy hearty dishes, as well as Saraiva's Restaurant, the ideal spot to try Portuguese cuisine. Within easy reach of the town is the Dorset AONB, where you can enjoy walks through Stonebarrow and Milldown Nature Reserve, as well as exploring the famed Cerne Giant.
