Nestled in the tranquil village of Eglingham in picturesque Northumberland, the Tankerville Arms is a nineteenth century dog-friendly coaching inn. It features individually designed rooms with en-suite or private bathroom, flat screen television, tea and coffee making facilities and a host of little luxuries to create that 'home from home' feeling. Free WiFi is available throughout. The restaurant is open to residents and locals alike, offering British cuisine. Real ales from Alnwick, Rigg & Furrow and Hadrian & Border Breweries complement the traditional range of beers, wine and spirits in the bar. Ideally placed for exploring not only the breath taking beaches and castles of the Northumberland coast, but also for losing yourself in the isolated splendour of the Cheviot Hills. Guests often take the boat trip to see the puffins on the Farne Islands, or cross the tidal causeway to Holy Island. A day trip to Hadrian's Wall and the archaeological sites is also a must.
