Set in the heart of Dorset's rolling countryside, Woodside Retreat is perfect for family holidays, celebrations and relaxing group getaways. Our peaceful rural location is accessed via quiet single-track country lanes with no pavements or streetlights, making it the ideal place to switch off and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Please note that our postcode is shared with neighbouring properties, so on arrival simply follow the signs for The Victorian Barn. Woodside Retreat offers comfortable, well-equipped accommodation with everything you need for a relaxing self-catering stay in the Dorset countryside. Full payment is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable. A security deposit is required via card pre-authorisation before arrival. We are a family-run business offering self-catering holiday accommodation in beautiful Dorset. The Victorian Barn Dorset was once our family farm, where we milked dairy cattle before lovingly converting the buildings into holiday accommodation. Claire and Penny, mother and daughter, now run the business together, welcoming families, friends and groups for relaxing holidays, celebrations and countryside breaks. The Jurassic Coast is around 19 miles away, making beaches, coastal walks and Dorset’s famous landmarks easy to explore by car. Nearby places to visit include Sturminster Newton, around 4 miles away, with independent shops, cafes and scenic riverside walks along the Trailway, and Blandford Forum, around 8 miles away, a historic Georgian town with shops, restaurants and the Hall & Woodhouse Brewery. There is also a country pub within walking distance via quiet country lanes with no pavements, ideal for those who enjoy a peaceful rural stroll.
