Located in the beautiful Inverness-Shire countryside, this bed and breakfast offers an optional room service breakfast as well as vegetarian and healthy options. Scenic walks can be enjoyed in the immediate area and Tigh an Each is just 15 minutes’ drive from the freshwater beaches of Loch Laggan. Free WiFi is available throughout all units. Overlooking the horse paddocks and stables, each room has underfloor heating, a satellite TV with a DVD player and tea and coffee facilities. There are also 4 Family Garden Pods, offering self-catering accommodations for up to 5 people in each pod with an en suite shower room with power shower, underfloor heating, gas hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, a Tassimo coffee machine and 42-inch LCD TV with Freesat are featured. They also boast an outside decking area with patio furniture and a barbecue. A shared barbecue pod is also available. Climbing and mountaineering are possible on the Monadhliath Mountains, which can be reached after a 30-minute drive. Horses can be accommodated on-site for an extra charge. An international-size outdoor arena is featured at this property, as well as plenty of off-road hacking routes.

Designed and built by ourselves in 2009, our property makes the most of the stunning scenery and natural views of the countryside. We have a modern, comfortable and quiet home, that you can relax, enjoy the countryside, and chill out in.
Myself and Steve my husband moved to Aviemore in 1984 and ran a successful B&B at Coylumbridge for 10 years. We sold that when our daughter Michelle was born, but her passion for horses saw us move to Balgowan in 2005. We set up a successful horse training business, and built our house in 2009. We have re-started the B&B business in this property which has flourished, and we now have 2 rooms sleeping up to 6 people, with plans for more in 2017.
As we are out in the countryside, a car is essential if you are staying with us. We have our local hotel a 10 minute stroll from our house, with further restaurants and hotels in the villages of Newtonmore which are a 10 minute drive. We live in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland, with an abundance of walks and trails right on our doorstep. It was also the base for the the filming of the famous TV series "Monarch of the Glen" For the more energetic, the Wolftrax mountain biking centre is a 5 minute drive from the house.
