PAYMENT TERMS: If your stay is within 28 days, the full cost of the stay will be payable at the time of the booking. If you are booking more than 28 days in advance, then a deposit of the cost of the first night’s stay will be payable immediately; then, 28 days prior to the arrival date, the balance will be payable. Failure to pay the full balance by the due date, due to an invalid credit or debit card transaction will be viewed as you cancelling the stay. If you wish to cancel your booking, you must cancel via Booking Dot Com. If you cancel at least 28 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount that you've paid. After 28 days, we may attempt to re-let the property and if successful you would receive a refund. If this fails no refund is payable.

Townfoot Byre is a wonderful bedroom suite in a traditional Lake District farmhouse. The property was constructed in 1691. Townfoot Byre has its own private entrance, a compact kitchenette and upstairs, a beautiful bathroom with amazing views over the valley. The private entrance opens up into the bedroom, which has a king-size bed, a wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a dining table and chairs plus a 4kTV with Apple Airplay and Google Chromecast. Next to the bedroom is a small kitchenette with a microwave, sink, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and full-size fridge. The bathroom has a large shower, a toilet and a sink. Spa, sauna, swimming pool and gym access is included, free with your stay. Two bath towels and two hand towels, plus tea-towels and bedding are provided for your stay. Kitchenware, utensils, cutlery and crockery, plus salt and pepper is supplied. There is a hair dryer and iron and ironing board. A breakfast basket is provided, including: cornflakes, granola, brown bread, white bread, conserves, butter, tea, Nespresso coffee pods, milk, sugar. The Byre has an electric car charger for your use. PLEASE NOTE. We offer free access to Choices Health Club in Troutbeck Bridge on a good faith basis. We are not responsible for their opening hours, or liable if they are closed. Guests should double check opening hours as these may vary during their stay. PLEASE NOTE. IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES - This is a 330 year old, quirky property, and the Byre has a steep stone staircase and a low doorway. Please ask for more details if you need. PLEASE NOTE. Sorry, candles are not allowed - Being a timber framed, 300 year old property with a lot of oak panelling, the fire hazard created by them means that the use of candles in not permitted. The property is equipped with smoke alarms that will trigger with candles. If you’d like to add to the romantic atmosphere, we can provide a pretty, LED light tower for a warm, cosy glow. Just ask.

Townfoot Byre is located at the foot of Troutbeck village. Troutbeck is well known for its numerous listed buildings and traditional Lake District architecture. It has a good village community with a tea room, also selling a few essentials, plus 2 great pubs serving great meals and local ales. The Lakes has a good bus service and taxis are available, locally. For those with a car, there is a parking space just outside The Byre.
