Recently refurbished, Uist cottage provides an excellent base to explore the Cairngorms National Park, or simply to get away from it all. The cosy historic cottage has a modern, light and airy feel. Free unlimited WiFi is available with a strong signal in every room. The entrance vestibule is a lovely place to eat, read or work. This gives onto a well equipped kitchen/sitting room and a rear bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Outside there's a lovely gravel seating area to the front, with wild flowers and window boxes. Dog friendly, there's a large exercise field 2 mins walk away. Located next to Highlands Wildlife Park, which is a must see in any stay, there’s great hiking to be had directly from the cottage, and access to a fantastic local cycle network for exploring further afield. The scenery is stunning: snow-capped mountains, ancient pine forests, salmon rivers and lochs. The cottage is within easy reach by bike or a short car journey to all manner of outdoor pursuits, suiting every taste. The nearest water sports centre is located on the opposite side of Loch Insh just 10 mins away by car. The famous Cairngorm Mountain Ski Resort, near Aviemore, is a mere 20 minutes drive away and is well worth a visit whatever the season. Nature lovers will be spoilt for choice with Caledonian forests and more National Nature and RSPB reserves than you can shake a stick at! A full range of facilities are within easy reach in local towns and villages including Kingussie, Newtonmore, Kincraig and Aviemore.
