Lovely peaceful location, the extra touches with the bathroom supplies, milk, eggs and bread was lovely to use. Although we stayed there for one night, it was fantastic. Such a great nights sleep with the windows wide open. We would have loved to...

What was there not to like?! It was the ideal accommodation, absolutely stunning views and just as beautiful at night to sit out under the stars. We had everything we needed there. It’s still in a close proximity to small towns nearby but further...

Nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Usk and Wye Valley, our handcrafted Shepherd Huts offer a peaceful rural escape with stunning Valley Views and a touch of rustic luxury. Surrounded by rolling fields, woodland and friendly animals including Miniature Donkeys, KuneKune pigs, Pygmy goats, Valais Blacknose Sheep, Chickens, Ducks, Dogs and Cats. It’s the perfect place to slow down and connect with nature. Each hut has been thoughtfully designed to feel cosy, comfortable and relaxing, blending countryside charm with modern comforts. Each hut has underfloor heating, a 2 ring hob, mini fridge, kettle, toaster and mini oven. Guests can enjoy peaceful mornings with birdsong, evenings under the stars, and the simple joy of farm life while still being close to local walks, pubs, castle and attractions. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a quiet weekend retreat or a chance to experience life in the countryside, our shepherd huts provide a unique and memorable stay in a beautiful setting.
We are a family run small smallholding, with a love for animals. We moved here in 2017 after Daniel had a catastrophic accident in 2009. He was left paralysed from a push bike accident just days before he was due to join the army, which was a lifelong ambition. After suffering severe depression we decided to move to a small place with land and get some farm animals. The impact the animals have had on Daniel’s mental health has been fantastic. Daniel is also a recipient of a “Pride Of Britain” award. We have spent the last 6 years building our little farm and caring for our animals, we have now decided to share the beauty and peacefulness of the Valley with others and through our shepherd huts. We want every guest to feel welcome, comfortable and able to properly unwind during their stay. Our aim is to create a warm, friendly and memorable experience where guests can enjoy the slower pace of rural life and leave feeling refreshed.
We are located near the stunning Forest of Dean and the picturesque Wye Valley, the area is ideal for Walking, Cycling, Exploring nature and visiting charming local villages. There are beautiful woodland trails, Country Pubs, independent Cafés and scenic drives where you can explore local Castles like Raglan, Usk, Chepstow and Caldicot who also hold music events through the Summer months. Guests can explore nearby market towns, riverside walks, visit local farm shops and discover some of the areas best viewpoints and hidden gems. Places like Tintern Abbey, Monmouth and Abergavenny are within a few miles. The neighbourhood is peaceful and rural, making it perfect for anyone wanting to escape busy life and enjoy fresh air, wildlife and countryside view. We have an ancient woodland behind us that is over 600 years old. The local village of Trellech has a rich history with sites such as the virtuous well, the Bronze Age Harold’s Stones, Grade 1 listed St Nicholas Church, the 16th Century pub The Lion Inn and recently excavated old City of Trellech, which continues to be of archaeological interest to this day.
