Set within a rustic family-run campsite, this charming retreat is ideal for couples looking to slow down, switch off, and enjoy simple comforts in a beautiful rural setting. What makes this stay special is its balance of warmth, character, and location. The hut has been thoughtfully prepared to feel snug and welcoming, with a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings, soft lighting, and a comfortable interior that makes it easy to relax in any season. Outside, you have your own seating area, BBQ, and fire pit, perfect for cooking, keeping warm under the stars, or enjoying a quiet drink at the end of the day. Inside, guests have everything needed for a comfortable short stay, including a microwave, mini fridge, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, crockery, and cutlery. The space is compact but well equipped, combining the charm of a traditional Shepherd’s Hut with practical features that make your stay easy and enjoyable. Valley Farm itself adds to the experience. Guests can enjoy the relaxed campsite atmosphere, with fresh water available on site and toilets and showers just a short walk away at the rear of the farmhouse. On selected evenings, our popular food outlets serve Farm Box Burgers and woodfired pizzas, giving you a convenient and delicious option for dinner without needing to leave the site.

Valley Farm is ideally located for guests who want a mix of countryside and city access. We are just 5 miles from Oxford train station, making it easy to explore the historic city, its colleges, museums, shops, and restaurants, while still returning to a peaceful rural setting at the end of the day. We are also close to the Cotswolds, making the hut a great base for day trips into some of England’s prettiest villages and countryside. For nature lovers, the campsite connects directly to the Farmoor Reservoir countryside walk, with beautiful local walking routes, wildlife, birdwatching, sailing, paddleboarding, and fishing nearby. You can also join the Thames Path and walk into Oxford along the riverside. Other nearby attractions include Blenheim Palace, Wytham Woods, and Bicester Village.
