The friendly Vikings Accommodation is victorian guest house less the 10 minutes' walk from historic York's city centre. It offers free Wi-Fi, and rooms with flat-screen TVs and Freeview channels. All of the refurbished, spacious ensuite rooms are homely and modern, with tea/Nespresso coffee machine facilities, and sweets and biscuits. On-street parking is available to guests, and the many shops and attractions of York are within walking distance. The impressive, century York Minster is just 10 minutes away on foot, York's Jorvik Centre is a 15 minutes walk away, and York Railway Station is a 20-minutes walk. York is a walled city in northeast England that was founded by the ancient Romans. Its huge 13th-century Gothic cathedral, York Minster, has medieval stained glass and 2 functioning bell towers. The City Walls form a walkway on both sides of the River Ouse. The Monk Bar gate houses an exhibition tracing the life of 15th-century Plantagenet King Richard III.
