There are onsite entertainment facilities (chargeable) available at Lyons Sunny Sands resort which is approx 1 mile in the car or a 15 minute walk along the beach. There is The Sands complex within a 2 minute walk with a well stocked shop, chip shop, arcade and club house. There is also a lovely restaurant / bar called Nineteen.57 which is again within 2 minutes walk (booking advisable during peak times). The beach is glorious and within an easy 5 minute walk, at low tide you can walk for miles in either direction. Harlech is 5 miles away with the beautiful castle overlooking the golf course. Barmouth is 5 miles in the other direction and is a typical small seaside town. Talybont train station is within a 5 minute walk with frequent trains if you are feeling like a day out. We are located in Eryi (Snowdon) National Park so lots of exploring to be done including, mountain hiking, mountain biking, waterfall climbing.
