If you are looking to escape from the bustle of the big city, unplug from the world, relax and rejuvenate - Watercress Barns are your perfect choice. Remote and full of character but amazingly close to London, our apartments offer comfortable accommodation for a unique holiday experience.

Watercress barns are located on a former watercress farm in a quite Kent village of Newington. Within easy reach of Blue Flag beaches, historic town of Canterbury, close to walks and cycle routes you will find the variety of activities nearby. In 19th century farm produced best quality watercress that was sold in London Covent Garden. Today watercress no longer farmed in Newington but spring-fed lagoons are brilliant for wildlife. Look out for water shews, polecats, rabbits, badgers , grass snakes and frogs. Variety of bird species like LHerons, Kingfishers, Grey Wagtails, Wrens, Moorhens and Water Rails can be spotted on the farm. Discover delicate flora of Kent including orchids, blue bells, poppies, buttercups and many more. Local pubs and restaurants: Three Tuns pub serves locally sourced food and great selection of beers and ales. TheBarnYard - a rural complex with farmyard animals, plus a farm shop, garden centre and wood-beamed restaurant
