PLEASE NOTE THAT BOOKINGS ARE FOR A MINIMUM OF 2 NIGHTS My house is located in a small quiet village, about 3 miles from Canterbury and near the small seaside town of Whitstable. It is very near the University of Kent, Kent College and St Edmunds College. There are 3 buses an hour to Canterbury & Whitstable. A small supermarket opposite the house is open 7 days a week. There are lovely walks & rides in the countryside and in the forest, and along the Crab and Winkle Way either to Canterbury or to Whistable.

I live here with my son Christopher. When I retired a few years ago, I decided to get a bigger house in order to have guests, as I love meeting people and helping them to discover and explore the area. I am French. After first living in Scotland, I lived abroad for a few years, and then settled in Kent. I have lived in various parts of Kent for about 30 years, and in Blean for about 7 years. I spend a fair bit of my time volunteering in a 2nd hand bookshop in Canterbury and at a local Food Bank.

Blean is a quiet village half way between Canterbury and Whistable, situated in the middle of an ancient woodland area. The Blean Wood National Nature Reserve is an area of ancient woodland over 11 square miles. The reserve is home to a number of marked paths for walking and cycling, as well as opportunities to spot wildlife, including the amazing Bisons, which were reintroduced in 2019 thanks to a flagship project launched by the Wildwood Trust and Kent Wildlife Trust.
