Sidmouth is a charming Regency seaside town surrounded by majestic cliffs and Wren House is ideally situated with the town and seafront within easy reach. There is an array of independent shops, cafes and beautiful gardens and of course the traditional promenade. The beaches are mostly pebbled although sand and rock pools can be found at low tide. There is also a leisurely riverside walk in parkland just across the road from Wren House with flower meadows and specimen trees. With Sidmouth situated in the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the local coastal paths offer wonderful walking opportunities along the extensive network of marked footpaths providing stunning views. Other picturesque locations worth exploring include Beer, Branscombe, Budleigh Salterton, Otterton Mill, Lyme Regis and the beloved Donkey Sanctuary. Also, the Cathedral City of Exeter full of Gothic architecture is worth a day trip.
