Welcome to MTASHI, a warm family guesthouse in the beautiful mountains of Svaneti. We offer two comfortable, clean rooms and a peaceful atmosphere where you can experience the beauty and hospitality of Ushguli. Built in 2014 with a traditional wooden structure using local wood, our guesthouse combines the authentic character of a mountain home with modern comfort. The walls are insulated, and each room has its own heater. Located in the first part of Ushguli, our guesthouse is just a 10-minute walk from the village center when arriving from Mestia. As you enter Ushguli, we are one of the first guesthouses you will see. From our balcony and garden, guests can enjoy beautiful views of the traditional residential buildings and ancient defensive towers of Ushguli, dating back to the 11th–12th centuries. You can admire the surrounding mountains, enjoy the peaceful sound of the Enguri River, and experience nature up close. Our garden has a table and chairs where guests can relax and spend peaceful evenings. We offer homemade Georgian breakfast and dinner, including traditional cheese, milk, and yogurt made from milk from our own cows. Guests can also enjoy traditional Georgian music. We can arrange private tours around Svaneti by horse or car, including trips towards Shkhara Glacier, as well as other beautiful destinations around Svaneti. We also offer private transportation between Ushguli, Mestia, Kutaisi, and Tbilisi, including pick-up and drop-off. Paid airport transfers are available in both directions — pick-up from and drop-off to Mestia Airport, Kutaisi International Airport, and Tbilisi International Airport. We are a local family from Ushguli who are happy to welcome guests and share our home, culture, and traditions. We love meeting people from different countries and helping them discover the beauty of Svaneti. We speak English, Russian, and Turkish, and we are always happy to help our guests during their stay — from arranging tours and transportation to recommending places to visit and local experiences. Our family also prepares homemade Georgian food using traditional, natural products, including cheese, milk, and yogurt made from milk from our own cows. Guests can also purchase our homemade natural products and take a taste of authentic Svaneti home with them. Our goal is to make every guest feel comfortable, welcome, and at home while experiencing the authentic hospitality and unique lifestyle of Ushguli.

The guesthouse is within walking distance of the village center, while the surrounding area offers beautiful views and a peaceful connection with nature. The Enguri River flows nearby, adding to the relaxing atmosphere of the neighborhood. The road leads directly to the guesthouse, so cars can come directly to the property, making arrival and departure convenient for guests.
