Mariami was born and raised in this beautiful region of Svaneti—her family still lives in the nearby village of Ipari—while we are currently based in Tbilisi. Even though we’re not always on-site, we are always available and responsive, and Mariami’s family is nearby to assist guests whenever needed. We built this home ourselves with great care and love, aiming to create a warm, welcoming space that reflects the beauty and traditions of Svaneti. We chose this exact location because it offers peace, incredible mountain and village views, and a unique sense of calm—while still being close enough to the local community to feel safe and connected. It’s also perfectly situated between Mestia and Ushguli, the two most iconic destinations in the region, making it a great base for exploring both.
