Mestia, a village in the province of Upper Svaneti, where there are medieval churches and houses, chapels, and the famous towers of Svan, which are on the list of world heritage sites of UNESCO. On the outskirts of Mestia there is a modern ski resort Hatsvali. Funicular, in the center of the town, which takes you to a height of 1898 meters above sea level, where the resort is located. Mestia is considered the center of mountaineering and high-altitude tourism in Georgia. Routes from the city start to the peaks of Jhangi-Tau, Ushba, Shkhara and other peaks.
