The village of Deshaies, known as the filming location of the British series “Death in Paradise”, is a charming haven surrounded by mountains and golden-sand beaches that are free from sargassum. The famous Grande Anse Beach is only 1.5 km away, and Rifflet / La Perle Beach is 4 km from the villa. The Deshaies Botanical Garden, the most visited site in Guadeloupe, is only 500 m away. Many hiking trails are located within a 40 km radius, and the Soufrière volcano is 65 km away. You will also find several diving clubs in Deshaies, as well as whale and dolphin watching tours in season. Practical information: Bakery, grocery store, pharmacy and doctor are located 1 km away in the village of Deshaies. A small market takes place every morning in Sainte-Rose. A list of delicious local restaurants and useful tips will be provided upon your arrival at Villa Refuge du Pirate. Car rental is available through a partner at the airport.
