My name is Xenoudaki Petroula, I was born in Vatollako and until I was 17 I grew up in this house which belonged to my great-grandfather, it passed into my father's possession and today it belongs to me as a property, taking care during the renovation process to maintain its traditional character. Since I got married I live in Chania (43 years now) always keeping in touch with the village and its people. I have been growing avocados for the last few years, I love cooking and traditional and not only recipes. I have a great love for nature, animals, gardening and I personally take care of the garden of LaCasa Cottage. I have 2 older daughters and 3 grandchildren.
The village of Vatolakkos is a picturesque place, located close to the city of Chania. The village exudes a traditional atmosphere, which will fascinate you. In the village square there are traditional taverns and cafes, all surrounded by trees and the incomparable natural beauty of the landscape. You will find a supermarket about a 10-minute walk away, while the nearest beach is in Platanias. Nearby is also the famous winery "Manousakis" for wine lovers, while you can also visit the Botanical Park and Lake Agia.
