The name "Esplanade" carries a personal story. When my father moved to Montreal, Canada, he lived on a street called Esplanade. Years later, he built this hotel by the sea — and by coincidence, the word “esplanade” also means a walkway by the water in Spanish and French. It felt like the perfect connection between two parts of our family’s journey. People often tell us they love Esplanade Apartments not just for the beautiful surroundings, but also for the large, comfortable apartments and the welcoming vibe that combines the best of home and vacation. Kalathas Beach is only a 10-minute walk away, and we’re just 15 minutes by car from Chania and 10 minutes drive from the airport. It’s a convenient base for exploring the region while enjoying the quiet charm of a seaside neighborhood. Kalathas is a peaceful seaside village on the Akrotiri Peninsula, just 15 minutes by car from the center of Chania and only 10 minutes from the airport.
