Fagotto Art Residences is housed in a listed Venetian building dating back to 1540. The building was built to house the Venetian headquarters. Now fully renovated and tastefully decorated with objects and photographs from bygone eras operates as charming hotel. Fagotto Art Residences is located at Aggelou Street, which is one of the most beautiful and picturesque streets of Chania Old Town. Within a few meters away from the Maritime Museum and the atmospheric Venetian Harbor. On the ground floor of the building we operate for more than 40 years the first jazz bar in Greece - Fagotto Jazz Bar. All rooms and apartments are comfortable and maintain a traditional style with modern, elegant touches; they create a relaxing atmosphere and designers at affordable prices. They are equipped with: shower room, Refrigerator, coffee making facilities TV, free internet access and air condition. All have spacious windows with balconies overlooking the picturesque streets of Chania old town. The building consists of 2 double rooms which can accommodate up to two persons and a one bedroom apartment suitable for 4 persons at the top floor with terrace. The central location of the hotel ensures easy access to many shops, cafes and restaurants of Venetian promenade and old town.
Mata Mavridi, a passionate interior and exterior architect designer - based in Chania, had this challenging project to bring back to life those beautiful abandoned period mansions in the Old Town of Chania by converting them into boutique style accommodation. Eager to keep their old elements and character intact, they had worked cautiously in order to make the spaces comfortable, to add modern facilities as well as to enhance the charm of the houses, with one common objective: make the visitors feel home. Starting from logo designing which is inspired by old designs from the late Renaissance, testifying the Venetian’s passage in Chania.
