PORTA HARENAE residence is a building that was fully renovated during the year 2024 and is located in the Old Town of Chania, next to the old Gate of Sand.(PORTA HARENAE in Latin). All rooms are renovated with personal care. There are 3 apartments in this building : 'TERRA' Semi Floor Apartment : A very beautiful apartment of 31 square meters that consists of a single space with a double bed, living room, kitchen and a bathroom. A third person could sleep to the sofa. Due to the lack of balcony this apartment has exclusive use of the back yard on the ground floor and of course access to the commonly use terrace with the perfect view. 'Aqua' First Floor Apartment Διαμέρισμα Α' ορόφου με χωρητικότητα έως 5 άτομα A beautiful apartment of 50 square meters with 2 double bed bedrooms, living room, kitchen and a bathroom. A fifth person could sleep to the sofa. There is a balcony on the front of the building, one on the back and a smaller on the side. Visitors also have access to the commonly use terrace with the perfect view. 'IGNIS' Second Floor Apartment A beautiful apartment of 50 square meters with 2 double bed bedrooms, living room, kitchen and a bathroom. A fifth person could sleep to the sofa. There is a balcony on the front of the building and a smaller on the side. Visitors also have access to the commonly use terrace with the perfect view. All visitors may use the washing machine - dryer which is located on the ground floor.

Porta Harenae Residence is located next to the Gate of Sand, on the East Side of the Old Town of Chania. Access by car or public transportation is easy and a big parking lot is right upfront. On the front of the building's ground floor the shop "VOTANICA" is selling Herbs, spices and locally made products. The famous known tavern "CHRISOSTOMOS" where you can taste a great variety of Greek food is next to the cornet. All kind of stores are a few meters away of PORTA HARENAE residence. Don't forget to visit on Saturday morning the public market on Minoos street, just a few meters away. I case you don't want to go far for a swim, there is a beach in a 200 meters distance.
