Proimos Apartments is run by Ioanna Proimou, who is my mother. She is an active businesswoman and takes good care of her guests. She also runs a private foreign language school during the wintertime when the hotel is closed. She takes dance classes and enjoys travelling abroad.

Proimos Apartments is a small hotel complex built around the mid nineteen eighties and bought by my father Vasilis Proimos in 1990. He then refurbished the whole hotel and took care of the garden. It is the ideal place for those seeking peace of mind for the enclosed garden creates a very serene atmosphere.

Neighborhood info

Proimos Apartments is essentially a beach hotel although it is not beachfront. It is located in Gerani, a small village 14 kilometers away from the town of Chania. Gerani is renowned for its orange trees and its lush vegetation. The sea nearby is wonderful: it has a small rocky part which is perfect for those that like to snorkle and the rest of it is sandy which is great for all those avid sea swimmers. When it is rough one can hardly bathe but the beach is wonderful for taking long romantic strolls with your loved one.
