This beachfront hotel is located in a 30,000-m² area right above Akrotiri peninsula, where the famous movie Zorba The Greek was filmed. It offers self-catered rooms a few steps from the sandy beach, with free WiFi and furnished terraces. A large swimming pool and a playground are featured. The traditionally decorated studios and apartments of Zorbas offer views over the Cretan Sea. Each unit has a well-equipped kitchenette with microwave and fridge, and is further equipped with a satellite LCD TV. A safe, a hairdryer and iron are available. The apartments also feature a fireplace. Guests can relax at the sun loungers by the pool and enjoy a drink, a refreshing cocktail or a Mediterranean meal prepared with fresh ingredients, at the poolside bar-restaurant overlooking the sea. Younger guests can enjoy themselves at the children's pool, while special events of traditional Cretan dancing are organized occasionally at the pool area. An outdoor chess board is also included. Hotel Zorbas Apartments & Studios is located 6.8 mi from the airport and only 8.7 mi from Chania Town. The area is close to historical and archaeological sites. Staff at the front desk can organize excursions around Crete, provide maps and information on the area and can help arrange car rental to explore the island. Zorbas Beach Hotel is a beachfront complex of 53 apartments and studios that lies on the most beautiful part of the Akrotiri peninsula in Chania. It is situated in the most privileged position that boasts stunning views over the Cretan Sea. It is located ideally right on a sandy beach, inside 30.000 m2 of private land. The hotel offers the unrivalled Cretan hospitality and the feeling of being at home, not far away from the picturesque city of Chania in Crete. Conveniently located 12 km from the airport and only 13 km from Chania city, it offers the ideal combination of accessibility and tranquillity. Set right a few steps from clean and well maintained scenic sandy beaches, the hotel is surrounded by an unspoiled natural area that protects it from the city's noise and crowds. The crystal sea in front of it, the excellent home-made traditional food, a very personal approach, as well as the comfortable apartments and studios will make your stay an unforgettable one.
I find this place amazing 'cause one can find numerous things to do and many places to explore! I decided, after having finished my Master's & Doctoral studies, to return back home and welcome people from all over the world to Zorbas Beach Hotel. The area is close to the historical and archaeological sites and in ideal location from which to explore Western Crete. The friendliness and Cretan hospitality of our hotel stuff can be very helpful for the arrangement of car rentals and excursions to worth visiting places. The Peninsula of Akrotiri, located north east of Chania, is known for its calming and relaxing way of life. It offers some of the most stunning and scenic beaches of all Chania. The most beautiful include Kalathas beach, Ag. Onoufris, Maherida beach, Tersanas beach, Marathi beach, Loutraki beach and of course our very own Stavros beach located just a few steps from the hotel. The impressive Monastery of Gouverneto also known as the Monastery of “John the Hermit” stands close to Zorbas Beach and just a little further you can visit the Monastery of Catholicon which is beautifully built in the depths of a wild gorge and can be viewed by all.
