As the name says, this is not a house, this is a HOME. Designed by prominent architect in Croatia, Zdravko Bregovac in the 1970-ties (1973 to be exact), now also owned by an architect and his family, the Architect’s home presents rare example of luxury accommodation in the very heart of Plitvice National Park – in the village Plitvica Selo. Situated in a small village of Plitvica selo, just after the Big waterfall, the property has 3500 square meters of land and almost 220 square meters of house, overlooking the Kozjak lake. Surrounded with 50 years old pine trees and wooden fence, it presents a peaceful get-a-way in the very centre of Plitvice lakes National Park. Boosting a sauna, big garden, free wi-fi, netflix and satelite tv, the chalet has 2 fully equipped kitchens, 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sitting and dinning area with a fireplace. The manager can also provide filling of the refrigerator or wine fridge (extra cost) , including 3 different breakfast menues and a wine list - depending on your preferences. Also, tickets for the Park and official tour guide are available upon request and the tour is charged extra.
As mentioned before, the house is now also owned by an architect, who meticulously renewed the old house, keeping full wooden structure and mountain appearance. With new luxury amenities, this house is self-sustainable, suitable for family or families to settle for a couple of days and get the full Lika forest and Plitvice National Park tour.
Property is situated in 3500 square meters of private land, surrounded by wooden fence. Good size parking area is reserved for you and your guests inside the property, behind the house. There are lots of plants and huge trees where you can play and enjoy, just keep in mind to wear suitable clothes. Also, you can find summer dining area with a restored wooden table and deck chairs to relax under the sun. In the property, there’s a barbecue and kettle. So if you want some nice stakes or fish, or if you are more of a goulash or soup person, you can prepare it outside while your kids are playing in the garden. There is a possibility to organize a rent-a-cook for these activities. If you ever want to get out of the house, it will take you 10 minutes of leisure walk to get to lake Kozjak and transfer boats and 15 minutes to the Big waterfall.
