JEJU Cottages is located on the outskirts of the small village of Are Guling, a few minutes walk from the beach and only a few kilometers (15 minutes drive) from the larger tourist town of Kuta. With us you are part of nature and are allowed to get an insight into the culture and life of Lombok without having to give up a certain comfort. On our spacious green area there are three cottages and a common kitchen. Furthermore we prepare local and international food in our Grass Café. Whether you dine on your private veranda or in the restaurant is up to you. Our cottages are all built with traditional thatched roofs and equipped with vents for good air circulation. For heated days, a ceiling fan as well as a standing fan provide cooling. Additional there're two rooms with A/C. This method of construction makes it feel as if you are staying right in nature. You can hear the animals, the sound of the sea and the living life. Each cottage has a private outdoor shower in addition to an indoor one.

We are not just ONE host, but an entire host family. Fendy, born and raised in Are Guling, loves to bring people closer to his home and to make their stay as beautiful as possible. He tries, where he can, to realize your wishes and dreams. Behind him is his family, who actively supports him. Sarah comes from Switzerland and has found her second home and family with Are Guling. She is currently in the background and a couple of months per year in Lombok.

Are Guling is a small local village, less influenced by tourism than the touristy city of Kuta, which can be reached after a 15-minute drive. Staying with us you will be among the people, surrounded by nature and yet not far from everything. The nearest town Kuta is a thriving city, whether bar, restaurant, spa, yoga classes, local markets, clothing stores or the like: you will find it there. Also otherwise we have a lot to offer: Countless gorgeous beaches, hilly landscapes, the traditional village of Sade, hidden waterfalls, surf spots, breathtaking mosques and much more.
