Having an abundance of excellent produce in the Burren, as much ingredients are sourced locally as possible. Homemade breads, free range eggs, cheeses & honey are some examples of the produce being used at Hazelwood Lodge.

Situated along the Wild Atlantic Way, just a short walk from the pretty little harbour village of Ballyvaughan in the heart of The Burren, lies the hidden gem Hazelwood Lodge. With the feel of boutique hotel, Darren and Lesley have made this welcoming and elegant accommodation, into a home away from home that will have you wishing to return as soon as you leave their door! This special family-run accommodation lodge in the Burren prides itself on offering all visitors the warmest of welcomes and will assist you in every way possible in planning your stay to ensure you get the most out of your visit to one of the most spectacular areas of Ireland. The house has 8 spacious and impeccably presented bedrooms that can accommodate up to 20 guests. There is also a lovely dining room and beautifully appointed cosy residents lounge.

The lodge is located along the Wood Loop trail Admire County Clare’s famed limestone landscape on this pleasant 8.8km loop that crosses valley and woodland. Starting at the seaside village of Ballyvaughan, the route passes close to Aillwee Cave, the best known of the Burren’s many ancient geological sites. A 2 hour trail, Ballyvaughan - Wood Loop consists of minor roadways, surfaced and sandy roads, green lanes, lush woodland and cross country terrain.
